Polishing my stick to impress them,With oil, stroking motion or circular?!?!??!!?

The guys are coming over to play pool today, and I want to impress them, instead of showing them this scratched up piece of sh*t. I already have the polishing oil, so should I polish it in a stroking motion or circular?
