I am opening my Cricket store on the 15th if the construction gets all completed this week. The question I have is what POS system do you guys recommend? We use Microsoft retail management at our liquor store but I was looking for something that might be made for the cellular market to help keep track of inventory and cricket commissions and etc.

Thanks in advance for the help and if I posted this in wrong section I apologize.

Good luck on your new store. When I started out in this, I built a custom POS system and saved a lot of money. It works very well for me.

However, I know a few people use Merchant OS. I have heard good things about them. The best part is it is web based so you will not lose anything.

I used micro telecom and its awsome u can trach everything do payrol and its internet based. But its $70/month but well worth every penny

I use Intuit's Quickbooks POS Multi Store. It works well for us due to the multiple locations and we are able to track everything from one PC and then able to update everything into Quickbooks... You can track everything by serial # as well as do payroll with Quickbooks...

Thanks everyone this has been a tremendous help. I never thought about doing a web based POS system this would have never worked for our liquor store but this seems to be perfect for a Cricket store.

We use RetailIQ as well. It interfaces with Quickbooks and is relatively easy to use. We also use the integrated credit card processing which costs a little extra, but well worth the cost. I just wish it allowed the use of pin based debit carRAB, but you can't have everything LOL.

As an additional piece of data, a friend of mine uses TeleTracker at his store and HATES it.

Oh, and your store looks really nice! I agree that the black slat wall is a nice change of pace.
