unsophisticated minds do not
unsheathe the genius of
this man who wrote words
without concern for
anything but the totality of their music
who wrote of pee stains in old men's
underwear but i
being of less sophistication
and lacking in depth
cried
The damn king is naked
as a bloody jaybird! and
should have shamed myself.
But without apologies I observed
pee stains in the underwear
of my brother when he was seven
and eight and until modesty
forbade his parading about not fully clothed.
I thusly concluded that such stains
were not the exclusive property of old men
memorialized in his words.
And with unsophisticated musings
I recall wondering if the lower case thing
Was designed to add deeper meaning to his words
To set himself apart and, by this small rebellion,
Above all other poets?
Or was it merely that his shift key was broken?
