Poets - Are any of you insomniacs? Comments on my poem would be greatly appreciated,

thanks? Insomniac

I'm tired. Like velvet in my bed
Three pillows cushioned round my head
The duvet cuddled round my frame
Commencing now? The waiting game

The other half is sound asleep
As I resort to counting sheep
My brain becomes a spiteful pest
Preventing me from getting rest

It flickers thoughts into my mind
Of all the trivia it can find
Followed by a picture show
Of people, places I don't know

I toss and turn, it's half past three
Out of bed, I'll make some tea
The other half begins to snore
I hate his guts, he's such a bore

Dear God, have mercy please on me
And kindly listen to my plea
Oh! Peace at last, the final fall
In time to greet the morning call
