A passionate feeling fluttered in my heart
Like when someone types too fast
I was there for a brief moment
Then it began to depart
A dove’s feet walked on the wooden pane
Outside of my window one night
He turned his head ever so slightly
Magically, it began to rain
I walked over to that dove so white
His eyes were glazed with water
His wings were raised from his side
As if he was ready to take flight
The feeling deep within
As moving not so gently now
The feeling wanted freedom and liberty
Not to be trapped beneath my skin
The bird flew away, taking my passion along
I never knew it would feel so good, yet so wrong
I always thought my dream, my passion, my feeling would come true
But as I now know, love can fly away too.
Yeah I wrote it
