Poetry: May I show you some of my poetry?

[[Morbid Thought]]

I usually write verses, but I jotted down a sonnet, this morning. Rate, hate, comment, criticize, read beneath the lines!

I’m a musician, a poet, a lover, of a sort
A writer, a prophet, to make money off of
To disappear In Rainbows like Thom Yorke
Only to be dissolved in clouds to cough blood
Giving Blueprints to Leonardo, and Shawn Carter
I over estimated my ability over words and letters
I wanted to begin the start of something harder
So I start to rhyme, and started to get better
Studying Jack Kerouac, Aesop, Bob Dylan
Folktales in world I live in lit by candles
Karma by candlelight can’t top the feeling
A philosopher in this world only to sit in sandals
Writing strokes of genius that stay inside a notebook
Reciting my repent with the words that hope took
Phophet is what part of the wordplay. Because it mean how it's spelled and I was meaning also I'm something you can make money off of a Profit, it's just a different spelling. Actually didn't even try on this. I still don't get the first answer about the words though.

My favorite lines were:
Karma by candlelight can’t top the feeling
Writing strokes of genius that stay inside a notebook

Not sure why but I really liked those two lines..

All around, I liked it a lot.

Also, Thom Yorke is awesome =]

and don't listen to the person saying that you should write like you talk. anyone can do that. words are amazing. using different ones or ones rarely used is great.
it doesn't sound like you're trying to hard, it sounds like you're actually intelligent.
