Plz help me, I really want the htc hd2(tmobile) but I'm haveing some issues?

Unless the htc hd2 has wifi, then there is really no point in getting one without the data plan. My sister had the iPhone and then she bought the htc hd2. She didn't like the hd2 and returned it.

Ok so I was so excited cuz I was going to go buy the htc hd2 at the
tmobile store today for $200 and add on to my moms plan. Then when I
asked the guy that worked there to buy it he look at my moms contract
and said I had to add the date thing for Internet, which is an extra
$30. My mom does not want to do that by no means. So he said the only
other way is too pay for it full price, $450 + taxes. I'm really
conseride doing that but I want to know if there's any other ways that
I can buy the htc hd2 and just pay $200? I heard about something where
u can buy a diffrent phone in tmobile then buy the htc hd2 off of eBay
than just switch the sims cards. But I still want everything that a
regualr htc hd2 would have. and i know that the htc hd2 comes with a 16gb
card thats preloaded with some stuff in it, whats in that card?
i aleady have internt at home
