MRSA....good grief.

My Aunt contracted MRSA while having open heart and she does have cysts now but I'm talking groups of cysts, 4-5 at a time. If you are otherwise healthy, and have only had a couple of cysts, I can't imagine the doctor jumping from a cyst (something as common as the cold) to MRSA. However, that certainly explains why she didn't want to lance it. Wimp. So much for the patients needs coming first. Definitely not anywhere you want to go again!

One thing. MRSA is easy to be tested for, just a swab inside the nose. But if you are healthy I'm not sure if you want that "official" on your records in the UNLIKEY event it comes back positive. Just something to think about before they ask.

Thx for the heads up resol. I don't know a great deal about MRSA or why it would reflect so much negativity, but I don't think I'll risk it. I believe they test your fluid from the cyst for it anyway??

Yeah unfortunately she was just all messed up. It's really hard to know if they are just lacking knowledge or if they just want to bill your ins. co. $247 for the shot. I believe the latter sadly. There's just too much greed going on in the medical field right now so as I type I'm researching surgeons/dermatologists that could possibly take care of me tomorrow. Trying to read reviews, etc.. there has to be a better way to find this info. Any suggestions or go straight to the med board or ?

Thx :)
