I'm currently trying to set straight the plot of a book that I want to write in the future, but I'm not sure if it's appealing enough. Help?
Well, to make a long summary short, big brothers sister get's kidnapped, he goes off on his little quest to find her himself, finds her (*spoliers*), a fight happens, (*spoilers*), and then two other books follow after as a trilogy.
Question is:
I don't know how to make it flow and not seem to be exceedingly drawn out just to get the end over with.
Erm, sorry for this really poorly typed question that isn't very..."informative".
Not bursting *my* bubble, sweetie.
I *do* know what I want to happen, it's just that I can't really put it into words.
And I really must do it as a trilogy, since the other two books would be different, and I know what would happen and such, it's just that I'm not too sure..
Adding to the plot:
The teenaged boy would discover only moments later that the murder of his sister was his very own step-dad. Enraged and knowing that all along that he could never accept his step-dad as someone trust worthy, he would attempt to fight him but would end up defeated and in his last moments, a new person would enter the scene, and he would cry out with his last breath for the person to get help.
The end would be the step-dad disappearing and the mother would commite suicide over the loss of her loved ones.
The sequeal would take place at the point of view of a new detective who moved into the town, and would feature more about what happened to the step-dad and mysterious person.
