I am scheduled to have a PLIF next Thursday morning L5/S1(Degenerative Disc Disease,Spondylolithesis,along with significant scar tissue from a previous discectomy in 5/07)
As of last week I started having brand new pain,usually the shooting nerve pain only affects the right side of my body.But now my whole left side is going nurab/shooting /stabbing pain,spreading not only down my leg but my arms and hanRAB are going nurab as well as my pelvic region.
My last MRI(9/07) did show L4 starting to show DDD
Can anyone who has had problems with L4 tell me if this sounRAB like L4 pain?
My Neuro called my WC adjuster and put in for a STAT MRI on Monday,we finally got verbal agreement today but still do not have an authorization nuraber,side note..I can't stand Comp!)
Im am starting to get really nervous now,I was all prepared...especially after reading here for the last few weeks,its great to finally find others who are going thru the same thing!
It seems to some people who have never had back pain, that if you look ok on the outside you must really not be in Excrutiating pain,if you do not have a bone sticking out of your body or bleeding people who do not have back pain can not understand what pain we are in.
Any feedback would be really helpful.
