Please tell me the Lexapro will get......

Rid on all the sudden Panic attacks I am having while driving............OMG.

This is probably the most scary thing that has happen to me......started over a week ago.....

I just started .5mgs of Lex two days ago.........and feel tired, and the anxity is very much still there.

I know it takes time........but I have to be able to drive without pulling over every five minutes.................

I am taking it around 5-6 PM for it does make me sleepy.

I was on this awhile back.......on 20 mgs.......did great, but pooped out on me so dr. put me on Wellburturin the smallest does, took it five days and wanted to kill ...........I was mean........now back on Lex..

Please tell me I will get somewhat back to normal.........the anxiety is killing me.
 
I don't know....it seems like you are on such a small dose. I know I am on 20mgs and have been for a few years now. It seems to take efeect quickly and helped me out faster than most meRAB. Truthfully I preferred when I was on wellbutrin because that was easy to stop taking. I have tried a couple times to quit the lexapro and went into major depressive episodes.....then I tried to wean off it slowly, but still after awhile of taking 10mgs every other day, I could feel that old sense of anxiety creeping on again so I went back to it. I just wonder how I am ever going to get off lexapro. I would really rather be on something that is less addictive to the brain. I would have suggested xanax for your anxiety, but if you get tied on lexapro at that small of a dose, you could never handle xanax. But lexapro IS for bot depression & anxiety.
 
Thank you so much.........I will soon be upping it to 10mgs per my doctor, and if need more will cross that bridge when I get there...

Thank you for your response........I have no energy what so ever.......I blame allot of this from coming off Welluburtin for only five days to going onto the lexapro.....

I will probably never be able to come off of a antidepressant..........I have tried several times.........Shame....
 
Get in touch with your doctor - you might benifit from some Valium or Klonipin for a couple of weeks, while the Lexapro is kicking in.

I want to be me again, and stay on the same med...........not a roller coaster.:mad:
 
We arnt tired of you himmlover, we just want to see you better - all of us know how disabeling anxiety and panic attacks can be.

You not only have the panic attacks them selves, but the anxiety about when the next panic attack might occur.

I'd speak to your doctor over the phone today, see if he can call in a script for a short course of a trqanquilser such as valium, ativan, xanax, klonopin.

This could make life so much more liveable for the next week or two while the Lexapro starts to work, and with a short course of 1-2 weeks, there is no risk of dependance at all.

Its certainly worth asking about.
