...if you see an answer that says something like, "right here http..." or "this is a complicated issue, go here: http...." Do NOT follow the link and report the answer immediately; it's a link to a spyware site.

I normally wouldn't post something like this, but there's literally 2-3 for every question I've answered tonight.
I forgot to say, the text will never make any mention of your actual question--that's a dead giveaway.

It'll only say, "This tells all about it" or "This is a great site for your question" etc.

Thanks for the heads-up however this attack has been ongoing for the best part of two - three weeks. Staff and community members alike are working hard to combat this threat, and you can find a lot of information on what links are not safe and how to treat an infected computer at:

I know I've been reporting them ALL day. I usually go to where it says "Tell us what you think" and then copy and paste the offenders name in the thread about malware attacks. When ever you see it report abuse and put "malware" in the reason section.

wow. im so stupid. i have went on all of those links. looks like someone is spying on me. ooh great. can things get worse.

yea and I fell for it earlier.. luckily I closed it out before it started a dl... and I've had that virus before its the 'Vundo' virus it can take over your browser where you cant search for a fix.. had to reformat..

Thanks heaps for the tip.I will make sure never to click on them
Thankyou. :)

I've seen those a lot, not just tonight. But yeah, tonight's especially bad. Pure garbage. I report every one I see, and every user that posts one as well.
