PLEASE READ about Klonopin!!!

Hey guys!

So I just wanted to share this with you. I had called my pharmacist to see what they to say about a klonopin taper and here is what he told me. Please note, THIS DOES NOT SOUND CORRECT OR SAFE TO ME!

***My pharmacist told me that with Klonopin all a person neeRAB to do is reduce to a .5 mg pill (1 a day) for 5 days and then stop cold turkey after that. ****

PLEASE DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS IF A DR. OR PHARMACY GIVES YOU THIS INFORMATION! It IS a BENZO and can cause severe WITHDRAWAL AND SIEZURES. So, I told my pharmacist the information I knew about it and he said he had never heard such a thing before! This is coming from the same pharmacist that I called about a Tramadol taper and he said I didn't need a taper I could just quit cold turkey with no problems. I told him the info I knew about Tramadol and again he thought I was nuts.

SOOOOOOOOO...... be careful out there and always research what you are told because even though they may be professionals they are only human too and don't know even close to EVERYTHING.

Just wanted you all to know what I have encountered and hope it helps someone out there!

thanks 4 the info secrets. luvya kid, u inspire me to write, u r so good at expressing stuff. I really hope u have a beautiful baby,cos I know that is REALLY what u really want .Secrets, go 4 it!! Good pregnancies and drugs do not go together so......Secrets....the choice is yours.
 
Hey Secrets

You are spot on with this information. Doctors and pharmacists get their info via textbooks or drug company reps. We need to hear and read anectodal evidence from real people who have had experience. I will never trust another drug until I have done lots and lots of research first! We must each be our own best and most active advocate.
