Please rate these ideas of mine for the should've-been ending of Degrassi: Boiling Points. I wrote it when I was quite upset at how disappointing and misleading the whole things was. I don't think there was any real "Boiling Point".
Fitz finds the knife in the hallway not knowing who it belongs to, but the knife came from Owen. On the night of the dance, the drama of Riley and Zane both being gay continues, with Owen setting up a joke by announcing Zane as the Queen of Degrassi. Riley & him fight and Riley jumps on stage & announces he's gay, & most people at school not caring & liking Riley in general, applaud him. Owen being pissed off that Riley was humiliated, lurks away to the hallways drinking some liquor from a flask, drunk & waiting for the moment where he can get Riley or Zane alone. When he sees Alli walking around looking for Drew he becomes overwhelmed with rage because he's straight & he feels it's the only way to be & he's is going to have sex with someone to reinforce that. Alli finds Drew with Bianca in the boiler room & later they emerge from the boiler room without Alli, who we assume is inside weeping alone. Not noticing Owen at all, the two return to the gym & Owen drops his knife as he goes to corner Alli in the boiler room. Later Fitz walking the hallways finds the knife & stashes it in his locker.
[Sav scenario] - Eli has avoided Clare until the dance, & A) Fitz and Eli made the deal to let Clare go to the dance with Fitz, or B) Eli could've said no & Fitz asked her anyway & Clare said OK she'd go because Eli won't even talk to her anyway so why shouldn't she go. If she's just saying yes to have a date, then no harm. At the dance, Fitz tries to make a move on Clare & Clare rejects. Eli catches this happening & goes crazy & Fitz pulls out a knife & threatens to hurt Clare. Then Eli tells Clare the truth about Julie & that he's sorry he avoided her but he didn't want to hurt her & Eli realizes that he can never fully protect anyone & realizes that the other girl's death wasn't his fault because there's nothing he could've done. He begs Fitz to leave her alone but Fitz is angry & holds the knife to her. Here Eli has the chance to save Clare & that is in his control: he loves Clare and accepts it & saves her with the help of Sav who walks out of the classroom where him and Holly J just made love, & seeing what's going on, Sav immediately goes after Fitz being the strong protector kind of gentleman. Fitz loosens his arm & Clare runs but Fitz accidentally stabs Sav. Fitz runs away & gets caught by the police. Holly J & Sav just shared a wonderful moment that is immediately shattered by his death, Clare and Eli are saved (& in love and both want to be together) but now Clare will suffer from guilt that she's the reason everything happened. Because if she hadn't gone to the dance with Fitz nothing would've happened. Also Anya must now deal with the fact that her mom has cancer AND that the true love of her life is gone & they will never have a chance again. Sav's parents will FINALLY realize that their son WAS always such a good person, & not just very deep down inside like they said, because he plunged himself at someone who had a knife without thinking to save someone who was innocent, scared because that was the best thing he could've thought to do. They must now live with the regret that they never allowed him or trusted him to be happy & have fun like he deserved. Alli, is now left with a family in shambles due to their depression & regrets & tragedy stricken herself, allows herself to become promiscuous because she has no one to go to for support anymore, since Alli and Sav always seemed to have each others' back. Alli later becomes suicidal & addicted to drugs or alcohol & her family risks losing their last child.
[KC scenario] - erase the whole Sav sacrificing himself thing. Imagine Jenna & KC agree to have this baby together because KC wants to be a better dad than his father was. On the night of the dance, Jenna goes to find Alli who is obviously distraught over Bianca and Drew, & finds her after being attacked by Owen. Meanwhile, KC on his way to help Jenna find Alli, encounters Fitz with the knife & either does still love Clare or simply feels obligated to help her after he hurt her the way that he did & tries to reason with Fitz to leave them alone, to get rid of the knife, but Fitz becomes violent, KC winds up getting stabbed, again Fitz gets caught & arrested. Just as Fitz flees the scene, Alli & Jenna resurface from the boiler room to find KC in a pool of his own blood, Clare kneeling beside him in tears as Eli runs screaming for help. Jenna kneels beside him too, sobbing, screaming & KC dies telling her he's sorry & for her to take care of their son. Jenna is now a single mother & the baby's father has just died in her arms.
