[beabeanie the cool bean]

she sits in the corner
she hums the same tune
and is only guided
by the light of the moon
but she's no need for guidance
because there she'll stay
keeping her thoughts all tucked away

if a pin dropped she'd hear the sound
but who could drop it?
when there's no one around
late evening she'll cry
but nobody will care
well, who really could?
when there's nobody there

she hears noises coming closer
everyday
and inhales in hope that somebody will say
little girl,
wont you come with me?
then exhales,
she's learned
that will never be

so run to her
hurry!
run to her fast
pick her up of the floor
she'll be loved at last
give her warmth and shelter
food and water too
and that's how i'll know
there's a hero in you

oh btw. i did not write this, my friend wrote it for her performing arts contest at her school. i invited her over to stay the night at my house and she brought the poem to see what i thought, so i said why don't we put it on yahoo answers?
