The poem is " "Hope" is the thing with feathers" by Emily Dickinson.

"Hope" is the thing with feathers—
That perches in the soul—
And sings the tune without the words—
And never stops—at all—

And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard—
And sore must be the storm—
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm—

I've heard it in the chillest land—
And on the strangest Sea—
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb—of Me.

This my response:

"Hope" is the thing with feathers" by Emily Dickinson. This poem tells how hope never dies.
Whatever is being said of the bird applies to hope, so when he author says that it " perches in the soul—And sings the tune without the words—And never stops—at all" she means that we may think it could fly at any moment, but our hope is so deep inside us that it can withstand gales and sore storm, "in the chillest land—And on the strangest sea", so deep that it keeps us warm with it's song no matter how hard things get.
I really liked this poem. It reminded me that if we didn't have hope, we wouldn't be able to survive, yet it never asks anything from us in return.

Okay there it is, what do you think? Please don't get on me for typing errors I did this on my iPod so I can't see the whole thing and it's hard to correct stuff with it. Just for fun, how old do you think i am, and what grade would you give me?
