Dont know much about the phones out now so looking for some recommendations. i want a nice high end phone, not PDA. i want to be able to select ringtones from either a carrier OR put them on the phone myself by data cable or Memory card. bluetooth is a must. must be stylish and look decent.

with all that in mind, do all you phone gurus have any phone recommendations for me? your expertise will be appreciated! all brands welcomed, have had great success with nokia. love the smaller phones. Was thinking the n70, n80, 8801??

thanks!

hi fixion
n70 is good and cheaper than n80. i tried n70, it's good enough.
n80 is like PDA and it is a smartphone. expensive than n70. not available yet.
8801 is far behind..hehe
sorry for my comments.

wild cowboy,

hey man, thanks for posting. i appreciate the honesty. seems like the n70 is the way to go!

whats your opinion on the SLVR?

and i have been verizon for a long time. but looking to switch to Tmobile or Cingular since the have GSM, any advice on who to go with? i know Tmobile has cheaper plans, but im more concerned with network of the two.

thanks again!

as far as network, i think you'd be happy with the coverage you get with either cingular or t-mo. they have roaming agreements with each other, so as long as your t-mo phone has the 850 band, you'll roam on all of cingular's available network.

so base it on who gives you the best plan for what you need. i have cingular and based a lot on that my family is all on it, so we talk for free to each other.

nickel5, thanks for the reply. the n70 specs are here.

i dont see 850, only 900. does that mean i wont be able to roam on the difft networks? very soory. i am a network newb. :(

thanks again!

i'd be very cautious before getting a phone without the 850 band.

also, not to bash coolbee.com, but my first opinion of them is that their info may be a little off, as far as their phone network descriptions. either that, or they're selling all european phones.

like the saying goes, buyer beware!

if you're starting a new contract anyways, you might want to start by looking at the company's selection of phones first.

yeah i was looking at phones from the carries, but to my knowledge i could not find anyone who carrys the N70. does neone know who carries it???
