Iv had anxiety for a few months now. But it has never been this bad and Iv never felt this way before. Last Thursday I woke up to my body completely shaking. It was uncontrollable. It lasted a good half hour and then went away. It wore me out and I then tried to go back to bed. I have been getting headaches on and off a few times a day since then. Not sure whats causing it. I have been under a good amount of stress. This past Monday I went into the ER because my entire body went tingling. Head, legs, arms. Everything. My blood pressure was fine. They did an EKG and chest xray and they both came out looking "normal" as the doctor said. I do have acid reflex and have been burping alot. Not sure if the stress is triggering it since I dont get it everyday. I live in a very stressful enviroment. I just want to know if my heart should still be fine from when I got the EKG done I am experiencing slight chest pain. I get shaky, headaches, a slight dizziness.
I did set up to see a neurologist this coming Monday.
I am just real tired of the constant fears, and worries. I have my good days and then I have my bad days. It seems to really be getting out of control.
Has anyone ever felt anything close to this?

im on xanax but doesnt seem to help. makes me sleepy. when i went into the er they gave me ativan and that just totally seemed to clear my head.

Be careful with the ativan because it's very addictive. Only use it on an "as needed" basis when your anxiety is really bad. You might want to get an appointment with an counselor that does "Cognitive Behavior Therapy" and learn some relaxation techniques. I wish you well.

Most people who have an anxiety disorder feel these exact feelings at some point. Myself included, you are not alone.

You need to find a way to distance yourself from your stressful environment. MeRAB can offer immediate help, but it's only covering up the problem. I recommend as another immediate relief, to live a very active and healthy lifestyle.

Go running or jogging and exercise if you don't already, every day. Stop drinking caffeine or anything with a lot of sugar in it. Make an effort to get out with frienRAB or family who make you laugh and feel good. Surround yourself at home with only the positive and calm, which I realize may be hard depending on your situation, but this is very important.

As someone who suffered from panic and anxiety disorder for years, I am now off medication and feel great. Try it out anyways and see how it works for you.

If your feeling constant anxiety then an SSRI may be a better option.
I never liked xanax or ativan because they made me so drowsy and doped up feeling...and they tend to work better for panic attacks rather then general anxiety disorders. You could ask your doctor about an SSRI you can still use the xanax with the SSRI and it would help you get through the first week on an SSRI which tenRAB to make anxiety worse in the first week of taking them. They generally take 3-6 weeks to work fully.
I will say that they don't work for everyone...but I have had great results from them...They give me my life back.
Just a thought...
Hope you can find relief from this horrible disorder.

I suffer the same way; constantly feeling these pains and worrying about my blood pressure when I go out. One thing that struck me though was yesterday I faced my fear of leaving for a long walk and felt slighly more in tune wiht my mind.

Also, I have been addicted to ativan for some time now.. it is a useless drug that will make you stupid. I have been taking 3-4 a day and its just getting out of hand... they dont help anymore.. in fact i think they are making me worse because I feel like they are killing my ability to have emotion or think clearly.

I started to take a multi vitamin and it actually seems to help me feel a little better. It just seems so unreal what stress and anxiety can do to the body..
