Hello. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or thoughts on my problem. I started breaking out a few years ago and started a pretty rigorous skin care routine. I use a salicylic acid body wash on a shower glove in the shower every morning. Then I put a little salicylic acid lotion on the oily parts of my face (T zone). Then at night I was using a salicylic acid scrub and more salicylic acid lotion/benzoyl perozide mix at night. But, I stopped with the scrub and am using wipes now. Then I moisturize. The reason that I stopped the scrub and also the reason I am asking for you alls' thoughts is that it seems like my face is always red and very lately some little veins in my cheeks have started to become visible. The reddness is all over my cheeks and not really in the typical rosacea patterns and I am just wondering if you all think that this sounRAB like rosacea or if it sounRAB like I am just irritating my skin or both. Thank you all so much in advance for any thoughts and/or suggestions.

oh my! that is alot! wow! uh so do u still have acne? how long has it been going on? how long have u been treating it? do u notice ur skin is more sensitive? or sore? like if u scratch ur face do u go ouch? my guess.. and this is just a guess since i cant get answers directly or veiw ur skin is that ur overtreating ur face which can actually be worse for ur acne. and worse for ur face overall. salicylic acid is just that... an acid, spas actually apply this in a concentrated form and burn the very top surface of ur skin just like glycolic peels. so u can imagine how much this is agitating ur skin if ur applying it all day. now im not aware of the strength but i cant imagine that that much would be good.... my advice? go for sumthing not quite so harsh, your skin is not ur enemy lol :) now im not quite sure what to reccomend to you since i dont know ur skin type. but it appears lots of posters like cettaphil, i personally like trisan its soap free, perfume free, and oil free. its an antibacterial gel and u use it just like soap. i also use dragon mist on my t zone (my cheecks are too sensitive for it) its all natural and is normally used for peircings. with this (of cource u dont have to do this, you could follow up with your salicylic acid lotion if you need it, see if it clears up, but generally try going for something more mild and basic. if u just broke out a few years ago and u had clear skin before then chances are u dont need a regimen this harsh.

Thank you so much for your reply angelik. After writting everything down I realized how much I was doing. I swear I am not a raving lunitic or anything. I just started breaking out so badly that I just wanted it to stop.

i would recomend murad for you it works on most any skin type it is quite expensive though bout 80 bucks for a small kit the acid is way to much for you r face i would recomend to stop using it and use more mild soaps :)
