A war-wolf or trebuchet is a device used during the middle ages to throw rocks at castles and sometimes now used to fling pianos as a sport. A simple trebuchet is shown in figure P10.19. model is as a stiff rod of negligible mass, 4.00m long, joining particles of mass 60.0kg abd 0.100kg at it’s end. It can turn on a frictionless horizontal axle perpedicular to the rod and 16.0cm from the large mass particle. The rod is released fro rest in a horizontal orientation. Find the maximum speed that the small-mass object obtains.
