I haven't been able to get qpst to change the msl to 000000 or 333333. its a sprint branded 6700 and i'm just trying to get wap working. I was able to manually load the min and personal nuraber so that its accessing the network and dials out receives senRAB texts. i also loaded cricket 1040 PRL. and hear welcome to cricket when i dial *228XX . Its last 30 seconRAB and disconnects it has to mean, they don't have the msl/spc to update. So i did search for information, on how to change it. But, i'm having a problem with the software bitpim or qpst not working.
Another problem with the Sprint 6700 phone has been that i haven't been able to access the ##pst#/ ##778# if i don't allow the 3seconRAB beforeupgrade without a softrest. i'm using APAC_WM6_R0_Cricket.exe i think i found it on ppcgeeks. i dont' think i'm suppose to allow the 3seconRAB to upgrade sprints software. I have softrest before, it does it and then i'm not able to access any of the menus ##pst#/##778# doesn't work.
i'd like to OTA the phone, not sure it makes a difference at this point with the 1040 prl loaded.
I continued to load all the settings to dial mycricket network. dial #777, username: phone#@mycricket.com password: cricket. wap proxy settings all changed to wap.mycricket.com ports 8080.
I also read that you don't want to make the proxy changes in connection settings and want to use opera or mini mozilla. Because it makes mms act buggy.
My main problem getting wap to work is it tells me i have an invaild username password.
My conclusion is will i have to update to cricket connect,with webaccess. since it only has mms right now. and somehow change the msl/spc to 000000 or 333333. so that i can OTA the phone,.
one other thing to add, the phone hasn't been updated to cricket connect, so it only has mms. Which is what i've been testing. I read somewhere that its all you really need to have webaccess. its probably changed by now, i'm waiting to speak with my cousin so he can change his account and see if it makes a difference.
