I wanna know

New member
i have been dealing with some gallbladder probs, mainly pain on the right side below my ribs and nasea (sp?) back pain between shoulders off and on..
the prob is that my normal body temp is some where between 97.4 and 97.6
so when i am up around 98.8 i DO have a low grade fever...the people in the medical field seem not to think that we know our own body and they go strictly by the book..so according to them my temp is fine, in the meantime i am feeling sicker...has anyone ever heard of a normal temp being low as mind and agree that the upper 98s would be a low grade fever then?
thank you

Hey there,

My normal temp is like yours, sometimes even lower.
However, I don't feel feverish until it hits at least 99

No matter though, if the doctors have diagnosed you with
gall bladder disease or stones, they should schedule the
surgery. Are they holding off, waiting for you to have a
fever? A girl I work with had huge gall stones, and suffered
like you, but never had a fever that I remember. Once they
did the tests and saw the stones, surgery was scheduled for
a few weeks later and she had meds she could take for the
pain as needed prior to the surgery.

I hope this helps. Feel better soon.
