please help my 94 lincoln town car?

i have a 94 lincoln town car and for some reason it keeps turning off if i sit at a red light for to long. i can here the engine dis accelerate then accelerate while in idle. please help also my check engine light keeps coming on while driving then it turns off every few seconds.
 
That probably has to do with the engines MAF sensor. I had a 1990 Mustang that did that, and it's a common problem with Ford vehicles of that period. It probably just needs to be cleaned out. When clutter gets in the air tube the computer starts to make the engine idle weird.
