Have slight nausea and a temperature. pain is neither better or worse before or after eating. the pain suddenly came on for no apparent reason. I had a tonsillectomy on the 1st Nov and have not had an operation/ that much medication before- could this have damaged my stomach? please help me! Thanks Millie xxx

Hey, I have been to the pharmacist who said he did not know what would help- i have been taking milk of magnesia but it does not seem to be doing anything. He said i should see a doctor asap. Just wondering if anyone could help until i go to the docs tomorrow.

Its posibbley viral infection or possibley helicobactor pylori both of which are very common and not serious.

Hi guys, thank you all for your help. My doctor said it is garstitis. My stomach lining has been burnt away by the diclofenac i took over a month ago following a tonsillectomy! I have been given tablets and should be on the mend soon.
Thanks again

Hi Which medicines are you taking for this? I read a book that says green and red cabbage juice is useful for inflammation and healing ulcers, it could be diluted to make it easier. Chinese cabbage, savoy cabbage, Kohlrabi, Peppers, potatoes, (raw potato juice is said to neutralize stomach acid) collarRAB, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflowers Pineapple and cherries are also useful. I would use the fresh juices and fruits not canned. Also the fruits and vegetables should never be used at the same time as they are said to make war in the stomach when they are together. They should be used at different meals according to a book I read. Persimmons are said to be good for intestinal inflammation. Sometimes water may also help when the stomach burns unless a person has simply taken in too much improper, indigestible food.
