PLEASE HELP ME WITH MY SCHOOL DEBATE, TOPIC: FASHION DOES MORE BAD THAN GOOD?

okay so i have a debate on wednesday.
im in year 10 :D
so please help me wite a little bit about two points i am focusing on about the topic "fashion does more bad than good". we are affirmitive, meaning we do agree with tis topic.

these points are:

1."some peope cant afford the "fashion"
enfisize on stuff like, they pressure theyre parents, they might be looked down on by theyre peers.. ect.

2. "it pomotes steriotypes and _______"
haha i couldnt think of a word to put there, HELP!

or if you find any of the points irrelevant, feel free to give me another one along with some information about it :D

i suggest you check your spelling too. :P
but those are good points so far.
maybe the fashion isnt appropriate for school, or other things.
it may make other people feel less important because they dont dress as nice. or something.
 
Fashion is not very necessary, yet certain parts of society necessitate it.

It's not very pragmatic or beneficial, yet people judge others for not pursuing it.

Fashion promotes hierarchies and status - that are not based on reason.

Fashion forces people to assume certain tastes are best, but it does so on the basis of popularity. What is popular is not always what is ethical. -- Fur was popular once -- Drugs become fashionable -- there are more examples I'm sure you could find

Other than for self-expression, what does fashion do for us?
