please help me with my e61 number formatting problem (searched to no avail)

It drives me crazy that all the numbers in my Contacts are formatted without spaces and/or parentheses. For instance, they all look like this: 4015559898.

I though it might be an iSync problem, but when I just received a call from a number not in my Contacts, the number appeared the same way on the caller ID.

Is this normal? Is there anywhere in the phone to change this? At the very least, I'd like to change the formatting in the Contacts. I've searched this forum and google, but still have not found the answer to my question.

I tried the novamedia plugin for isync, but the numbers are still formatted strangely. I even tried changing the format in Address Book, but it did nothing. This is really driving me crazy.
 
I'm interested in figuring this out too. I have an N73 and sync with iSync, same issue, phone numbers show up 2224445678 in the phone even though they are (222) 444-5678 in the address book on the mac.

Capnrusty: You've said that the novamedia plugin didn't solve your problem? Because there were reports that that plugin fixes the problem?

Anyone else want to share some experiences?
 
I believe it's a problem with iSync. I sync my N73 with Outlook through Nokia's PC Suite and the ones that are formatted in Outlook come over formatted.
 
S60 obviously wasn't designed to play nice with iSync, or maybe vice-versa. For example, when you sync your calendar, all day events get changed to 12:00a to 11:59p rather than showing up as an "all-day" event. Not so with Outlook and PC Suite.
 
It worked well enough with all the other s60 phones I've owned, but maybe it was because they were actually supported. I guess I just have to wait until Leopard comes out and see what happens, though I hate feeling like I'm being being forced to buy it to get the extra phone support.
 
You're right my 6630 shows the all-day events as proper notes, but the N73 doesnt. I wonder why? Has anyone, using any of the "pay-for" plugins been able to get a recent N or E series phone to show all day events as proper all-day notes???
