please help me with my 2000 dodge intrepid.?

i got a 2.6 liter dodge intrepid 2000 any ways lately i been having problems with it, im parked and sometimes the engines revs up by it self and it stays constant like less than 10 seconds and it goes normal. (this happens very few times)
the other thing and that im worried about is that i change gears either reverse or drive and i tap on the gas and it just wont move i mean the engine revs up but doesnt move and than it works okay. the transmision is good you cant feel the shifts and the engine it does not make a sound i mean nice and quiete.
so please help me cause i dont want to die any time soon or kill anybody cause the car is acting up. what can it be?
 
Check the transmission fluid level and quality it might need to be changed and the reving and could be tine up related and the next time it doesnt want to move when u put it in reverse or drive , try going back to park then drive then reverse etc and see if it moves then and if it does it could again be related to the transmission fluid level or dirt or the filter and even a bad wire or bad ground going to the transmission comp=TCM and bad grounds going to the comps etc.


Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way it might be a good idea to ask the dealership if any service bulletins or factory recalls or program or flash updates exist on that vehicle.
