Please Help me with Honda Accord Break Problem?

Hello,
I have a 2002 Honda Accord LX Coupe. A couple of days ago I decided to save some money and replace the brakes myself, as well as bleed the brakes.
I took off the wheels (front)
Took one bolt out of the caliper
Flipped up the caliper, removed old pads and inserted new pads
Closed the caliper
Used the 1 man bleeding bottle (the only other person at home is my mom, and it would be very difficult to ask her to press the brakes since there would surely be a misunderstanding).
Brakes are now hard when the motor is off, and were normal for a couple of minutes while I turned on the motor, but then the pedal got extremely spongy. I have to press it all the way and it can barely stop.
BTW I have a manual Accord, so barely stopping on neutral from 35-0 is really sad. Could you give me any suggestions please???
Thanks.
