Hello Yahoo Answers,
Shortly after my twelfth birthday, which was on August the seventh, I had taken a professional IQ test. Precisely one month after completing said test, I received a certificate stating that I have an intelligence quotient of one-hundred sixty-nine. Formerly to this test, my family, friends and teachers never recognized my intelligence. They merely passed me by as though I was average, which I find rather preposterous. How in god's name could they have thought I was normal? I often did physics in my spare time, and even asked my teacher a few quantum mechanics questions, although to my predictable dismay she had never studied any kind of physics. Ensuing my test, everyone acted exactly the same. How shall I become noticed? I do not want popularity or fame, I merely want people to see that I possess intelligence, so they do not speak down to me. I see these other twelve year olds on television and in the newspaper from time to time with IQs in the range of the 140's to the 160's that are in university. Now, could you please tell me why I'm not in some sort of enhanced learning program? I always find every class in school monotonous and boring, except perhaps English because there we have creative freedom. My grades are dropping because of the fact that I just cannot stand the monotony of regular school. I used to get rather good grades, until grade five when I could not take it anymore. At the moment, I have only one A, a B, two C's, and the rest C+'s. I hate to see this happening. I'm confident that if I got in an enhanced learning program of some kind, I would be so much more happy, and I would feel extremely free.
How can I remedy my problem?
I really hope I didn't seem egotistical or self-centered during that. This is the first time I've poured my heart out before, because no one else cares or wants to help me.
