Please help me with a debate...!!!?

I am having a debate with someone. The debate is: Tongues have ceased". I am the negative side. What strategies should I use?? I have to come up with 10 verses from the Bible that indicate that tongues have ceased. Please help!!!
Tongues is what the charasmatic people talk in when"they are filled" with the holy spirit(this is what they believe). It is usually weird stuff going on -- they have no idea what they are doing -- no one can understand what they are saying. I have to prove that it dosen't exist.......
 
I think I catch your drift, but this doesn't sound like a school homework assignment.

I also don't believe you could find 10 verses in that Bible that actually say that.

Even from a strict pragmatic viewpoint, (as long as people are talking, tongues haven't ceased) the statement seems unproveable...unless you have seen every church in every country of the world. How do you know that? The only thing stated in the Bible is that 'understandability is the imperative.'

I guess it is debate fodder, for sure. But neither side of that debate is one I'd want to be in, and not a good use of energy.

As you can see, mine hasn't ceased :-). I don't know if this will help you, but sometimes seeing both sides of the argument can.
