I keep reading that standard text messaging rates apply... so please tell me if I am correct here: if I have unlimted texting to any network, does that mean I can use AIM from my phone anytime and go merrily on my way without being charged for airtime or going on the internet or anything? I have been looking for a clear answer that I can trust but I just can't accept that it really works this way. I suspect I would be charged for being "online", like I understand I would be for just browsing ringtones and things thru Get it Now.
We have a family shared plan, the select plan where we have unlimited texting to any network and 1400 minutes to share. There's a teen girl on the plan and I reeeally want to understand this aspect of it before I give her her phone and send her on her way!
