please help me sombody hoping for good news!?

the other day i was feeling like my throat was closing up and swollen so i looked in the mirror and saw a white dot on my tonsil, sombody told me its called a pus pocket and a sign of infection. i feel like i cant breathe cuz of my throat feels swollen i called a doctor and they said if my throat doesnt hurt than i shouldnt worry about coming in and to gargle with salt water everynite. could it be serious? i have no pain just one pus pocket and swollen throat. is it normal to feel like my throats closing up on me?? what should i do to feel better i haven aniexty and im freakin out which is causing me not to beable to breathe worse. help please
