I have had this gold fish for about 6 months and it isn't doing very well right now. I changed the water last night, and this morning i found him drifting around, with his tail kind of bent looking and curved. I have cleaned his tank many times and he has always been fine, the other goldfish in the tank is doing fine/normal. He is breathing very slowly and heavily... I tested the water and everything was fine except the ammonia was high, which i think it always has been. Is there anything i can do to make him normal again, he has been like this for about 10 hours. Thanks!!!!!!!
Would it be ok to move him in to a different fish tank that has been cycled and has platties currently in it? would that be ok, or more stressful?

It sounds like ammonia poisoning. If your nitrites and nitrates are both at 0, then your tank hasn't cycled yet. Two options to save him: Transfer him to an established tank (best choice), or you could try getting some ammonia detox treatment from the local fish store (don't guarantee that it'll work). Best of luck!
