Please help me pick my next phone

get over it

Hello everyone!

I'm a new user here so please don't overwhelm me with technicalities hehe ;)
Right now I own a 3 year old Nokia N73 and looking into something more modern that fits my criteria. I'm really taking some time into comparing and researching so I don't rush in and buy something I don't exactly need.
I would love if you could suggest 2-3 phones for me. The most important factors are (in order of importance):

1 - camera/photo quality (I won't be shooting higher that 1600xXXXX resolution, I just need quality pictures) WITH flash
2 - video capture (hopefully 30fps, close to or 720p HD) AND playback
3 - as big as possible display (for watching videos on, may even replace my PSP)
4 - at least decent quality music playback (formats don't matter, I play mp3s 99% of the time)
5 - hopefully there's something like iPhone apps store where I can have plenty of useful add-ons to expand the functionality of the phone

Since this forum is really huge with so many phone fans my decision will heavily rely on your suggestions :buddies:

Oh one more question..
What's the difference between TFT and AMOLED display technologies? Which one is better?

Thank you!

The first step is to pick the carrier that has the best coverage where you will use the device - where you live, work, travel and play. Then pick the phone.

Makes no sense for us to recommend a CDMA device on Sprint or Verizon if you aren't in the US or in a decent CDMA coverage area. Also makes no sense to recommend a device with North American freqs if you are in Japan or Europe.

Oh sorry, forgot to mention I'm in Europe.
Carrier doesn't really matter, I can probably get any phone unlocked with any carrier.

Oh wow nice phone really. I was honing towards Samsung Omnia HD, but I see HTC HD has an even bigger display (3.7 vs 4.3 inch).
Samsung has AMOLED and HTC a TFT display, what's the difference in these technologies? Is any of them superior over the other?

Samsung is using Symbian OS and HTC on Windows Mobile. How are those OSs in comparison? Or it's just a matter of preference?

I did a comparison on phonearena(.com) and the phones a really similar on the sheet. The HTC has higher resolution and a bigger display, but Samsung has better battery life and can record video in higher resolution/fps.

Ofcourse, no comparison is given on music/video playback quality, photo quality which would be quite a deciding factor.

So all in all, for now, HTC HD has only it's display size and resolution going for it, other than that I'd pick Omnia HD.

If there only were people who used both
