Please help me find a film

My brother watched a film 40+ years ago & is anxious to get it again, but all he remembers about the film is someone falling asleep under a tree for 100 years.
He thinks that a knight then came along & woke him up.
I thought that the film was "Rip Van Winkle", but he said that he is positive that it isn't, because he was asleep for only 20 years.
Any film buRAB out there with any recollection as to the title of this film?

Don't know about a knight but the only "100 year sleeping" film i know of is Brigadoon which would have been around then.

I think the film you're asking about was called...
'A Conncticat Yankee in the Court of King Arthur'
Sorry about the spelling. I think Danny Kay and'or Bing Crosby was in it.
It has been made a few times so you might have caught a different version.
There again it might have Evil Dead 3

This seems to be the film alright.
I checked it out on the net, but I can't get a proper synopsis on it. (Bing Crosby version) 1949.
I found other versions too, & the 1989 version has a girl in the lead role.
She gets on a horse & goes for a ride & falls off & is knocked unconscious.
A knight wakes her up & she finRAB that she has gone back centuries in time.
So this would seem to answer my query.
My only problem now is to get a PAL version of this.
I can only find it on the NTSC version on Amazon, & I have also tried Ebay.

I have found plenty of animated versions, but the one I am looking for is the one with real actors.
