Please help me choose a bicycle!!!?

I'm interested in buying a used bicycle but don't really know what is or isn't good. I'm trying to get fit so I'd like to bike to ride around my neighborhood which is flat, for the most part. I've found some bicycles on craigslist but again, I don't know what to look for other than a bicycle with gears. I'm 5'2" so a big bike probably won't be too good for me... Will these bicycles last me awhile and which is the best for the price listed? Here are the links to what I've found.

Fit is very important, for a mountain bike take your inseam X .59 to get the correct frame size. For a hybrid bike, road bike or a fitness bike use .65 instead. Figure out your size and forget the rest. You also need the best bike for where you want to ride, mountain bikes are a pain to ride on the road. If you want a bike for the road and bike paths look for a comfort, comfort mountain, or a hybrid bike. You can change the tires on a mountain bike to make it smoother on the road.
