We had a kitten around 7 years ago who was very playful, so playful that she would bite our feet and scratch us or attack us randomly. She grew up to be really bratty and she has huge mood swings to where she's friendly one second and all of the sudden she bites and hisses or scratches. She's hardly friendly and doesn't much care for us even though we raised her really well and feed her well.

Now we got another kitten, also a female, and she was very mellow and peaceful at first. It's been 3 weeks since we've gotten her, and she's around 8 weeks old. She recently started getting REALLY playful too. She gets on my bed and bites me or scratches me and attacks random objects and also my face. I try to pet her and she starts biting my hand. I take her off the bed not to spoil her, but she keeps coming back and repeating the same thing. Then when she's getting sleepy she only becomes mellow and enjoys my petting her. She still runs to us and purrs and all, but I'm afraid she might grow up spoiled and bratty too...
My friend told me that all kittens bite and scratch, and that it doesn't effect their character in adulthood.
But I wanted to hear other experiences...
We're just so scared that she will also be a brat like the other...

So, Is it normal for her to be acting this way as a kitten? Should we do something? We don't mistreat them, or anything, we don't really spoil them either.
So...
1. Is it normal for her to be biting and scratching?
2. Can she still grow up to be loving and affectionate and not bratty or moody?
3. Did you ever have a kitten who bit and scratched and grew up to be sweet?

It's just, ever since our other female cat, we're just scared if this one will turn out the same...

Well it's undertandable to worry but kittens always bite and nibble and scratch because they're growing into there claws and teeth. Like babies they need to nibbles things, and as for scratching try getting a scratching post, they may like it! :)
I've had 2 or my 3 cats turn out bratty but it wasn't because the way they we're when they were little, it was because of other cats coming in the house. They didn't want to share their territory.
My third cat turned out fine after biting and scratching in her younger years, she's sweet and loving.
