Question: Energy comes in many forms. What forms of energy does hydro-electric power convert to become a useful energy source for humans?

Examples: Electrical, Kinetic energy

the hoover dam is a god example..as water flows through the massive pipes, it turns huge turbines that run to a generator and convert it into electricity.

hydro-electric power comes from converting kinetic energy into electricity.

water flowing has kinetic energy (cuz its moving, right? duh) when you put a kind of fan in its path, the flow of the water causes the fan to spin (so the kinetic energy has been transferred from the water to the fan). if that fan is attached to an axle, the axle will spin as the fan does. if you attach a magnet to the axle, the magnet spins to. so we have a spinning magnet...aka a magnet with kinetic energy.

if you surround that spinning magnet with the right metals and wiring, you get electricity. why? charged metal moving creates magnetic fields (its how our atmosphere works, think about our solid nickle core). magnetic fields have the ability to move electrons, and so you can generate an electric current with such a field. where did the energy for the magnetic field originate from? moving water :D

fucq u 4 askin dis dumb azz question u can really sucqq a dicq 4 that 1 bytch nd if u gotz a problem wit dis bytch den u culd cum see me (myspace.com/itsyurgirlnaynay) bytch!

All "energy types" are really used in the production of electricity. Even the fuel in your car gets used to power your battery, which then turns the wheels.
