...to shed pounds! Any advice? I am almost 30, been a vegetarian for about 7 months, and eat extremely healthy. I eat mostly all organic food, no white flour- only whole wheat or brown rice. I eat lots and lots of fruit and vegetables. Occasionally, I will have a bit of dairy (cheese or milk). I stay away from anything with HFCS. I have been a runner for almost 2 years now. I run about 20 miles a week on average and am also doing strength cardio training with the 30 day shred from Jillian Michaels. I cannot seem to lose any weight at all.
I want to lose about 10- 15 pounds. No matter how hard I work or how healthy I eat, the fat is not shedding! I know that I am gaining muscle, but not burning any fat. Any suggestions? I am training for a marathon, so I can't just stop running. I have been diligent (and I mean DILIGENT) for over a month now on proper eating and exercise, even though it has always been a part of my life. I have even been taking CLA and Alli as weight loss boosters, but have had no luck. I am healthy, not stressed, get plenty of sleep, not a smoker, etc. I also have a balanced breakfast every morn - grain, fruit, protein before i work out and then will have a post workout whey protein shake. And I eat nothing after 8pm.
Any advice for me? Could it be a thyroid issue? What else could be preventing my weight loss?
