ok, so in WW1
the german's did this thing called U- boat activity
thats when they torpedoed ships supplying britain with their submarines right?
ok next question. In my essay i have to talk about how the British had blocked off the English channel and had full control of who passed. This was a tactic used to stop cargo ships giving vital supplies such as food and arms to Germany.
i just would really like to know whether the blockading of german ports was a counter attack because of german u boat activity
or whether german u boat activity was a counter attack becasue of th british blocking of their ports?
ie: who started it?
