I sold an iPod classic, heres what I said in the description:
"Here I have for sale a Apple iPod Classic (80GB) 6th Generation. It works perfectly, and there's nothing wrong with it. Although, it is in a little beat up condition. There are some scratches on the body, and the screen has a lot of scratches, not too many though. When you turn it on, it's like it doesn't have any scratches, and it's perfectly visible as if it were new, when turned on. The Back of the iPod does have scratches, like any typical iPod. I have owned this iPod for like a year now, so yeah it's in pretty bad condition, but atleast, it still works like new. The back of the iPod has a tiny dent on the lower right hand side of it. Not that much even noticeable, and does not even mess up with your grip, when you are holding the iPod. The iPod still works none the less, just to clarify that up. Oh, and it also comes with the charger"
and now the stupid buyer is saying this:
"The iPod received had its faceplate previously removed and attempted to put back on but it is obviously coming off on the top and other places where it should be sealed. The auction says the cosmetics are not good, but it says nothing about the iPod being previously opened and tampered with. I would like to return this for a full refund."
He also said this:
"The top of the faceplate is noticably coming apart. You must have seen this when you used the iPod. It is not unnoticeable and nothing was said about this in the auction listing. Please provide return address. I would like a full refund on this because it is not as described"
Nothing was wrong with the iPod. I never opened it up once.
I even sent him this through an eBay email, but he didn't respond:
"I am very sorry that your unhappy about this item. Maybe we could work something out. I did not open up the iPod, I guarantee you that. Theres like a dent or two in the back of it, I said those were kind of "unnoticeable". The iPod is not coming apart, and it wasn't like that when I had it alright. Send me a picture of the ipod, from where it's coming off, from all angles, so I can tell how it was, when I had it. That way, I can actually see, what you are talking about
I said this because I am not going to give him a refund if I'm going to recieve the iPod back in worser condition.
What do I do? Can I win this case, if I escalate it to eBay?
