please help!! doctor thinks my friend could have baby with down syndrome!!!!?

hey everyone, today my friend's doctor called and said that her baby might have down syndrome and shes 17 weeks pregnant, and now she doesnt know what to do or whether she should do these tests called "Amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling " please help, shes not sure what to do and shes upset atm
