Please give your opinion on the flouride debate?

My dentist has just had me start using GingiPlus Turbo 5000 in addition to GingiMed rinse.

I have read conflicting opinions on the benefits and risks of flouride treatment. I would like to have your professional opinions please.

Also, I was told not to rinse out my mouth with water when using either. I use the paste in the morning and the rinse at night. Is this safe?
