Among native american tribes the children who have been adopted to families outside the native nation are called " Lost birds" I am on and I wrote this about us Lost birds. Please can I get your opinion on it and thanks again!
“ Lost Bird”
Flying with such grace above a torn world.
Wings of an eagle soar,
Keen eyes search the earth.
Never resting until it is found.
An eagle upon a mission.
Sent by elder's of a great people.
Upon the wings of the eagle soar a prayer.
Find them, hold them and lead them home.
A nation of people wait.
For their families once again to be whole.
Searching in every face,
praying to the great spirit above.
That he will show the lost,
all the love that awaits them.
The Eagle soars with grace upon a mission.
Seek and find our “ lost birds”
Bring them home... ....
Lost birds.
( dedicated to all those “ Lost Birds” searching for
their way home)
Thanks I had a really hard time writing this one and am still working on it.
yes i always write second and third drafts, I keep writing them until i get it to where I am happy with it. This one is a harder one for me because it's about me. I am native american and was adopted and it was hidden from me until i was 30 years old. So the poem is a harder one to write then I thought it would be.
