I am trying to shed off a few pounds before high school (Around twenty pounds or more). I am current 5'2", and I weigh 135. I gained about thirty pounds around the time my uncle committed suicide, you know the whole "eat your sorrow" stuff? Well, that happened to me, and that was in 2006! I haven't been able to shake this extra weight off, because I just constantly pile horrible foods into my mouth.
But recently, I realized that I am beautiful, but losing weight wouldn't hurt me in the slightest. I am happy, and I am not trying to lose weight to be happy with myself, I just think that sticking to a better diet will make me feel better, instead of an everyday stomach ache from eating unhealthily.
I haven't eaten any unhealthy foods such as junk foods or sweets, and I have been drinking a lot of water in about a week and a half, and I am quite proud of myself, and I feel much much better.
The thing is, even though I am going good now, I think when I get back home (I am currently at my mothers house, and I have been staying here for a week or so), I will go back to my old unhealthy eating habits.
My father stocks the house with goodies, like crisps, soda, and plenty of other bad foods that normally have my name written all over them.
I know, I know; I need to believe in myself, and I need to have confidence in losing weight, but I am not really sure if I can do it with all those temptations. Junk food is like a stalker to me, just watching and waiting. I dislike it so much!
So I am asking you guys out there if you have any tips on helping me stay away from those bad foods, and sticking to a balanced diet.
