please could someone, help me cope with my fear of storms, is there anything

I can do, to not be as scared? I live in central Illinois, in a little town where I have only had two tornados in my whole life time, and they werent even by me, maybe an hour away at the most... but ever since 2 months ago when we had a tornado really close to hitting us, but didnt I have just been freaked out... I know im probally sounding like a baby... but please could someone give me some advice
