I am sorry I didn´t write to you before now, but i am joing a new rock band, and we are practising hard for the last two weeks. What are you doing lately?
In the holidays we stay with my aunt and uncle in Toronto again. They are living in Canada for more than 15 years now. My first visit was ten years ago, and since then I am in love with the place.
Did you ever hear of lacrosse? I got to know it while I was there. The Native Canadians had played it long before the Europeans arrived. The Indian name for it is "baggataway" but when the French explorers saw the game, they called it "la crosse" - after the stick a bishop carries.
In 1867, when the Canadians found the National Lacrosse Association, they didn´t allowed Native Canadians to play their own game! That has changed now, of course, and Indians took part in the modern game for many years. The Americans decided in 1880s that they like the game too, and they are playing it in the US since then.
