Dear All,
I am an unmarried young man with the age of 27, i have been having back pain from almost 3 years now, getting low at times and quite unbearable at times, intially i consulted various orthopedics and physiotherapists and they all said there is nothing serious just excersize regularly which i did some time but later on gave up excersizing as it didn't affect much. I didn't had any accident or anything like that, i think my sitting with bad posture was the main problem with my pain.

Recently, someone advised me to visit a neurologist, which i did and he gave me Vitamin-D blood test, Uric Acid blood test, MRI oand X-RAY.

Following are the ocward results which i found:

1. 25 Hydroxy Vitamin-D range was 10.9 ng/ml which is in the vitamin d deficiency range.
2. Uric Acid was 7.1 mg/dl which was in the normal range.
3. In MRI at L4-L5 there is mild diffuse disc bulge with central protrusion indenting the thecal sal without any significant canal stenosis or radicular compression, everything else is normal in the report.
4. X-Ray (STD Spine) there is slight limited flexion extension identified however no abnormal translation noted on these images. everything else is normal.

I know there are world experts sitting here, I want you guys to tell me wut exactly is my problem and how to correct it, I will be very very thankful to you people.

Thank you

:pOK, you have REAL pain. Your lower joints have the actual disks bulging out from your spine. This is very painful and will not "just go away" with exercise. You need specific PT and maybe some pain meRAB to help you thru this. About the vitamin defeciency, go to GNC and ask for suppllement, you will be suprised what is out there for your immediate need and more.
Hope this little bit helps.

Thank you Pie for your reply :)
Yesterday, i visited the neuro doctor, he said i have to take vitamin d injections weekly for five weeks, he gave me vitamins and muscle relaxant, he didn't asked me for any PT rather he said you must join swimming.

wut do u say about chiropracter and my friend told me that is theraphy named hydration or hydro theraphy. Do you think i should go for that aswell ?

Are you able to get an exam and consultation with a spine specialist. Here in the US our options for that are Orthopedic Spine Surgeons and Neurosurgeons, I'm not sure what you may have access to.

Hydrotherapy, Aquatherapy and Watertherapy are all the same thing. It means doing exercises in the pool-especially a very warm pool. If swimming feels good to your back-do it. If it makes it feel worse-do not do it. My doctor likes me to walk as much as I can in the pool. This makes our back muscles stronger. Hope you feel better:)...janiee

Do you think my problem is big enough that i need to go to spine specialist or neuro surgeon ? or just swimming walking etc are enough ? as i have started jogging 4 days a week and 2 days swimming. i have started to feel very good (also coz i have taking muscle relaxants etc). i don't want to have any surgery but also i don't want to make things worse.
