I recently switched to a wired Linksys router and now I'm unable to establish an IP connection. My previous wired router was able to auto-detect an IP address and the Playstation set itset up. I tried the usual 192.168.1.1 to see if I could fiddle with anything but got nowhere. I'm completely unable to do anything with my router at all right now. What makes no sense is that my computer handled setting itself up just fine. I'm sitting here writing this while my PS3 isn't figuring out how to set itself up.
I've tried:
Disconnected everything and flipped the manual off switch on my PS3. Waited 45 minutes. Turned the cable modem back on, and let it sync. Plugged my router back in and let it sync. Finally I plugged my PS3 back in, flipped the switch back on and booted up. Went into Network Settings and tried to let it auto-detect a connection. Nothing..
