Okay so I recently purchased a Playstation 3 for primarily bluray watching, I have the video going out using HDMI, and the audio via optical audio.
My problem is that my 5.1 reciever doesnt decode the new generation of audio formats.
I havent watched any movies on it yet, but i have downloaded trailers off of the PSN, and the sound only comes out of my 2 front speakers,
So my question is will I still be able to listen to my movies in 5.1 surround sound? Or will I need to upgrade to a newer reciever that does have the decoding abilities?
